I am infected with Helicobacter pylori (HP) and have been treated twice yet haven’t been
cured. I am aware that prolonged HP infection may lead to Stomach Cancer. How can I
eradicate it?
If your treatment is not working, you should turn to bacterial culture test to find out what
kind of antibiotic therapy is suitable for your condition. Besides, some additional tests,
especially CYP2C19 test, shall be carried out to determine the effectiveness of your current
antibiotic therapy.
I have been experiencing stomach problems for 10 years and was diagnosed with peptic
ulcer and epigastric pain. The pain intensifies as I am stressed out. Currently, my stomach
terribly hurts and the pain usually lasts very long. I have tried taking turmeric and honey but
my condition has not got better. I intend to get an X-ray test or endoscopy but my mother-in-
law said it is not good for my pregnancy. Is this true? How can I reduce the pain?
Stress is one of the risk factors leading to gastritis. In your case, if you experience any of the
following symptoms: hematemesis (vomiting of blood), extreme abdominal pain or
constant vomiting, your doctor will prescribe medication that won’t affect your pregnancy.
