2. A thermal fluid heater is a closed loop using thermic fluid as
the heat transfer fluid. These systems operate at elevated
temperatures while maintaining low system pressures.

5. Thermic Fluid Heating system is a fully automatic packaged, oil/gas fired 3
pass heater in which Thermic fluid can be heated up to 300° C almost at
atmospheric pressure.
Thermic fluid heater is a closed circuit unit in which a hot thermic fluid is
circulated. The heat is transferred to process through a heat exchanger in
user equipment.

7. The flame travels inside the Thermic Fluid in 3-passes:
◦ 1st pass – Vertically down from the burner
◦ 2nd pass – Travels vertically up in the gap between outer coil and the inner coil.
◦ 3rd pass – Travels vertically down in the gap between outer coil and the inner shell.
◦ In all the three passes, the heat of flue gases is passed on to the Thermic oil inside the
coil and the circulation of T.F. oil is in closed cycle, therefore after some time temp of
Thermic fluid rises up to 300 degree.

8. Temperature indicator cum Controllers to indicate temperature and prevent undesired
overheating at the inlet and outlet of the system
Stack temperature controller to cut off the Thermic Fluid Heater when the flue gas
temperature exceeds the set level and to act as a counter check for temperature
indicator cum controller at oil outlet line
Photo cell to sense flame failure, give alarm and switch off the burner
Magnetic level switch in the deareator cum expansion tank to cut off the burner if the
thermic fluid level falls below the minimum level
Synchronising mechanism exists between the hot oil circulation pump and burner, so
that the burner will not be switched on until the circulation pump reached the full speed
