6. Your Role
• We want you to play an
active role in today’s session
• Simply type your question
into the Q&A facility at the
bottom right-hand side of
your screen as we go along
and send to “All Panelists”
• We’ll answer these during the
Q&A session
9. How is technology changing the way we connect
when learning
• There is a disconnection between the younger generation who are native to
using technology-based learning tools, and those who are
commissioning/deploying education who are more used to traditional methods
(e.g. classroom)
OLD WAY
• Turn phones off in ‘classroom’
• Taking notes on paper
• Considered ‘rude’ to use
laptops /tablets / mobile phones
• But, we need to be mindful of using digital tools: distraction vs enhancing
experience
NEW WAY
• Tweeting & # during sessions
• Note-taking on laptops/tablets
• ‘Googling’ during sessions
10. What can L&D do better?
• Think like mixologists not bartenders – experiment and innovate
rather than serve the ‘usual’
VS
