Create Your Own Fantasy NBA Dream Team!

Objective: Using NBA statistics (NBA.com), create a 6-man “Dream Team” that you believe would beat
any other team in a head-to-head competition.

                                   Guidelines (The tricky fine print.)

   1. All players’ stats must originate from the same season within the past 10 years.
   2. Your roster must be filled with 2 players at each position (guard, center, and forward).
   3. Must have players from both Eastern and Western conferences.
   4. Only two NBA Champions allowed per team.
   5. Only one U.S.A. Olympic medalist allowed per team. (Sorry, you can’t have Kobe and LeBron.)

                                           Stats 2 Consider

Your teams will be compared using statistics that can be found on NBA.com or ESPN.com.

    Average Points Per Game
 Field Goal Percentage (FG %)
    3-Point Percentage (3P %)
 Free Throw Percentage (FT %)
 Years in the League (Longevity)

Once the teams have been organized and rosters have been set, we will compare each player on your
roster to other classmates’ rosters in a class tournament.

Example:

         Classmate A Roster (2010-2011) versus Classmate B Roster (2011-2012)
                  1. Derrick Rose (G) 1. Kobe Bryant (G) */**
                 2. Stephen Curry (G) 2. Ty Lawson (G)
                    3. Al Horford (C) 3. Marc Gasol (C)
                   4. Brook Lopez (C) 4. Al Jefferson (C)
                 5. Dirk Nowitzki (F)** 5. Blake Griffin (F)
               6. Kevin Garnett (F)*/** 6. Dirk Nowitzki (F)**
* indicates U.S. Olympian ** indicates NBA Champ

Position 6 Comparison (Forward) Since Dirk Nowitzki had higher
Classmate A Classmate B stats in 3 of the 5 categories,
Kevin Garnett (2010-2011) Dirk Nowitzki (2011-2012) Classmate B would win that
14.9 Average Points Per Game 21.6 position.
      .528 FG % .457
      .200 3P % .368 If there is a tie, the highest
.862 FT % .869 average points per game on
15 Years in NBA 13 each roster wins the tie-breaker.
        2 TOTAL 3
