Mr. Peters has extensive immersion into product
design and technical program oversight at both
government and private institutions. Design
Assurance at Rockwell Collins, NASA and The
Naval Research Laboratory. Program Management
at the US Air Force Space and Missile Command
Center in Los Angeles, CA, The Boeing Company.
as well as Secure Communication Systems and
Harbor Designs and Manufacturing contribute to an
understanding of the needs of both large and small
organizations.
Over twenty-five years of mechanical product
development and design experience in new product
development has been reinforced by extensive work
in all areas of industry including NASA’s Goddard
Space Flight Center, The Naval Research
Laboratory, Becton Dickenson, Rockwell Collins,
and Zodiac Aerospace to name a few. Mr. Peters has
been responsible for the 3D solid modeling, design,
prototyping, and manufacturing of dozens of
commercialized products over his career in the
following industries, Military, Aerospace, Medical
Device, Maritime, Consumer Products, and
Pharmaceutical.
Mr. Peters has a deep background with a variety of
CAD software programs such as SolidWorks,
AutoCad, Pro-E/Creo, and Unigraphics NX,
Eight years of Hardware and Software Program
Management/Product Management experience at
private and government institutions provides a broad
base of program and business expertise as well.
Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems
and LEAN Engineering/Manufacturing round out his
technical and management capabilities.
Having completed the curriculums for both a
Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Mechanical
Engineering at LaSalle, Mr. Peters additionally holds
a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business
Management and a Master of Business
Administration Degree specializing in Business
Management and Organizational Behavior.
Vast design experience in areas such as consumer
electronics, medical devices, military, shipboard,
DOD Systems, pharmaceutical, high reliability,
display systems, automotive manufacture, industrial
installation, plant layout, communications and
surveillance, space flight hardware, commercial
airline, advanced weapons systems and commercial
consumer products have provided a well-rounded
technical base. Proficiency in proposal writing and
technical writing for DoD acquisitions and
contracting along with National Science Foundation
submissions assure valuable contributions to
technical proposal and data reporting functions.
Mr. Peters is proficient at leading a staff of
Engineering and technical resources. Constant
mentoring and staff development have proven
successful in developing the capabilities of a variety
of organizations both large and small.
Technical leadership and program oversight
responsibilities have included DoD GPS software
acquisition, financial forecasting and contractual
reporting along with EVMS assessment activities at
the Air Force’s Joint Program Office for GPS at the
Space and Missile Systems Command Center.
Continuing Education at the Air Force’s System
Engineering School and the Defense Acquisition
University’s Program and Command Management
boot camp in conjunction with proven technical
expertise within DOD and industry combine to form
a successful track record in Project Management,
Product Engineering, and Design Assurance arenas.
