REFERENCE FOR TERENCE MCGUIRE
Terence McGuire joined JFD shortly after my arrival in May 2015. We quickly became involved in a number
of joint projects where I was impressed by his ability to absorb a lot of detailed information on subject
matters which were not associated with his previous experience. Nonetheless, he worked diligently at
learning new technical and operational aspects of the work JFD undertakes on submarine escape and
rescue and other defence-related programmes.
Terry brings order and calm to what at times can be fraught moments in any major bid. He is reliable,
hardworking, thorough, and maintains a positive attitude to his work. He is self-motivated and can work
equally well independently or within a team structure. He also presents a friendly and professional image
in front of Customers. Thanks to his contributions JFD has won a number of important bids.
JFD has recently undergone some seismic changes associated with acquisitions and changes of senior
management and re-branding. This has resulted in a number of functions being moved to other parts of
the country. Sadly, Terry’s role has also been moved to a new location where it is impractical and unfair to
expect him to continue.
Terry has been a dependable colleague and a good friend over the short time we have known each other. I
firmly believe any organisation in which he works will benefit from his enthusiasm, professionalism and
commitment.
