Ideas gained from the 7 other videos to include :
Flares to create summer feel
Include some speech between performers during instrumental to break away from the
song adds more depth to the video rather than just cinematics/ lip-syncing
Film in locations with extras
Use unnatural light to create better scenery
Two main “characters”
Follow movement eg. Walking forward not just long shots of the performer walking
away
Film in bright locations
Detailed Analysis Of a Video
2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qj5zT4t7S6c - Sigala - Sweet Lovin’
(opening sequence)
Begins with the main actress skating in towards the camera with red smoke following in her
tracks the camera movements seem smooth but also hand held. Shots constantly transition
as the performer continues to dance through the street the fact the shots don’t last long and
are continually changing creates a more dynamic feel to the video and therefore enhances
the idea of it being a Dance music Video. The focus and lighting also changes throughout
the opening sequence at start the red smoke seems to almost overshadow the performer but
as the videos continues the performer becomes more highlighted and into the forefront. The
scene is also filmed in a busy location full of cars with a city in the very background.
Although the location is full of cars there aren’t moving they are in fact all parked on the side
of the road creating a more summer vibe to the video by the way that people are able to
“play” in the streets due to everyone being home for the summer weather.
