CJ’s Restaurant
8. Location and Place (distribution)
A. Location
CJ’s Restaurant will be located in San Fransisco, California.
The restaurant will be at 13th Street, San Fransisco, CA 94103,
USA. Since the location it is in town, it will make the restaurant
more accessible to people. San Fransisco is known for its
restaurants and coffee shops. Additionally, it has numerous
businesses thus it attracts a lot of customers to the restaurant
industry. CJ’s restaurant will use the location to gain a
competitive advantage by introducing organic foods. Thus,
since people are shifting to more healthy alternatives, they will
prefer the restaurant to the many fast-food restaurants in the
same area. The numerous business and restaurants in the area
create human traffic thus availing potential customers to the
business. Additionally, the area that has been selected has a
reputation for the best restaurant in the US. There are minimal
organic food sellers in the region despite the high number of
restaurants. That will increase the visibility of the restaurant.
The restaurant supply chain in San Fransisco is effective due to
the numerous restaurants thus it will enable the restaurant to
access low-priced inputs. B. Place (distribution)
A distribution channel is used by a company to distribute its
goods and services to customers. The company will integrate
several distribution channels to ensure that its products reach
the customers. The first distribution channel that the company
will use is direct selling. This is a distribution strategy whereby
the company sells its products directly to the customers.
Therefore, the company will pen several company-owned
restaurants and drive-ways to enable it to sell directly to its
customers. The company will also promote e-commerce by
selling its products through its website. That will ensure that
their products reach a big market share. It will also ensure the
effectiveness and efficiency of the distribution channel.
The distribution channels chosen will support the business in
several ways. Firstly, the distribution strategies that have been
chosen will ensure that the company's products reach a wide
customer base. That will enable the company to gain a larger
market share in the restaurant industry in San Fransisco and the
US in general. The chosen distribution strategy will also
increase the company's revenues, sales, and profitability. That
will aid in the growth of the business.12. Appendices

3. Company Products and Services
CJ’s restaurant will offer organic food which is high in
nutritional value. Most restaurants offer food with less
nutritional value and especially fast-food restaurants. Currently,
most people are seeing the need to turn to organic food and
more nutritional options of food due to the current rise in
lifestyle illnesses. That creates a niche in the market whereby
the restaurant shall meet the current and upcoming needs of
most customers. The high potential for the restaurant’s products
is the reason why they have been chosen to be offered to the
customers.
With the purchase of organic foods, the customers of the
restaurant will get the value for their money. They will access
food with high nutritional value at affordable prices. Although
some restaurants serve and sell organic foods, most of them
charge high prices for the products. The product of the company
is a product as well as a service as they will both play a crucial
part in the success of the company. The products provided are
convenience goods. The customers will also offer a delivery
service. That will enable them to eat healthy whether at home or
work. The company will start a big restaurant to enjoy the
economies of scale. It will also enable the company to gain
more customers over a short period of time. 7. Marketing
Strategy
A. Target Market
The target market of the company are people from middle and
low social classes.
1. Customer Demographics
According to the 2020 Census Bureau, the population in Texas
is 29 million (www.census.gov/quickfacts/TX). It is estimated
that a third of the population eat organic food.*. Therefore, the
company will have approximately 9% of the population. The
customers of the business live mostly in suburban and rural
areas as the target market includes people from middle and low
social classes. The company targets people from both genders,
from any race, and with any years. That is because organic food
is a necessity and cannot be limited to some people only
2. Customer Psychographics
The target customer of the business are the buyers who want to
live a healthy life thus they are motivated to buy organic food.
The customers makes planned purchases and brand specific
purchases in this case as it is based on quality of the product.
The customers may buy the products from any region despite in
an urban, suburban, or rural area.
B. Promotion Mix and Sales Strategy
The company will use several promotion strategies to promote
its products. One of the strategies that will be used is social
networking. Social networking is the use of social media to
market one’s products. The company will open social media
accounts where it will post information about the company as
well as the products the company provides to increase
awareness. Additionally, the company will make several
celebrity endorsements to increase brand awareness. It will
choose celebrities that have an interest in the food industry and
those that have positive publicity. The company will also use e-
commerce. It will have a website where customers can order
their deliveries. The website will be user-friendly and easy to
navigate. The company’s staff will be trained to increase their
customer relations and communication skills to engage with the
customers more effectively.
· C. Pricing Strategy
The product of the company is in the growth phase in the
product lifecycle. That is because it is a product that is gaining
popularity in the market. The company will enter the market as
a low-cost provider. That will enable it to satisfy the needs of
its target market which comprises medium-income and low-
income earners. The pricing strategy that will be implemented is
penetrative. The main objective of the business is to grow the
number of customers. Since it will depend on the economy of
scales, it will make more revenues with larger volumes. The
company will offer discounts to its customers to increase its
retention rate as well as attract new customers. The competitors
that provide the same products as the company charge higher
prices.

BUSINESS PLANBusiness Plan Part 1
CJ’s Restaurant 2. Mission Statement
CJ’s mission is to give the customers the best customer
experience through quality food and exceptional customer
service. The company will exist to serve the customers with
delicious and quality food every day.
CJ’s has the following values:
1. Customer experience and satisfaction are at the core of the
business. All the business operations are geared towards giving
the customers an exceptional product or service they will not
find in any other company.
2. Ethics- The business is committed to respecting individuals,
honesty, integrity, and ensuring that the organization's
operations focus on the impact on other people and businesses.
3. Communities- The business will participate in the community
development projects such as helping the needy and
infrastructure development.
4. Continuity- The business intends to improve its products and
services continually.4. Industry Profile and Overview
The restaurant industry is highly competitive, and it is hard for
a new business to get into the industry due to various entry
barriers. One of the barriers is strict health requirements, where
a business will be put to an end if they do not meet the
requirements during an inspection. Getting into the industry is
hard for businesses with insufficient capital. The big restaurant
enjoys economies of scale and buys materials at a lower price,
and hence in a better place, top offer lower prices to consumers.
The various trends in the industry include the fast-food trend
where there are many restaurants of all sizes are starting up fast
food joints where they sell fries, burgers, tacos, chicken, among
other foods. This trend will enhance competition in the industry.
The key to success in the industry is quality; if your food is
quality, then customers will be willing to buy from you and vice
versa. The packaging of the food provided will be biodegradable
to ensure that they do not pollute the environment. Additionally,
the business will ensure the waste of the company is filtered
before disposal to avoid contaminating and polluting the
environment. Environment laws are very important since if the
business does not abide by the laws, there are legal
consequences, including fees and termination of the business.5.
Competitor Analysis
The fast-food restaurants in the company are many in the
industry, and this will be the source of competition for the
business. The current competitors include McDonald’s, Burger
King, Wendy’s Dunkin’, among others (Brody, 2017). The
industry is growing, and new large-scale fast food restaurants
may pose competition to the business. CJ's will offer affordable
and high-quality products to differentiate the brand from the
customers. Delivery will be available for the products at a lower
cost and for free for customers near the restaurant.6. Business
Strategy
This company is a fast-food company owned by shareholders;
the business is a separate legal entity from the shareholders.
The business model for this company is a retail chain store
where the company shall own a series of stores in the country.
The business will have company-operated stores that will
account for 70% of the revenue and licensed stores that will
account for the 30% of the company revenue.
