Loro hanno già trovato in un altro paese un ospedale pronto ad accoglierlo, ma non hanno sufficienti fondi per il trasporto del piccolo e del suo famigliare. La richiesta viene immediatamente vagliata dal comitato scientifico della Flying Angels, si certifica l’effettiva urgenza e necessità del viaggio, e lo staff di Flying Angels si attiva immediatamente per procurare i biglietti per questo viaggio della speranza.
Questo è il nostro lavoro, è la nostra storia, che si ripete giorno dopo giorno, senza sosta, perché il nostro telefono è attivo 24 ore su 24. Portiamo ogni caso a termine in assoluta trasparenza, e oltre a dare il nostro aiuto alle famiglie che attraverso i medici segnalano i casi da sostenere, operiamo in collaborazione con altre associazioni umanitarie locali ed internazionali, che a loro volta forniscono il supporto sanitario e ci segnalano i bambini bisognosi di cure immediate.

2. FLYING ANGELS FOUNDATION ONLUS
WHY
Many organizations are involved in protecting children’s right to
health, in the whole world, but only one is specialized in buying
and donating airplane tickets for children and adolescents in
health emergency.
It is estimated that the lack of specialization causes every year the
death of 200,000 children, who could be saved.
Flying Angels Foundation has been created with the aim of
providing a specialized, free and timely services to other NPOs.
Our mission is to save these children: a concrete and achievable
project.

3. FLYING ANGELS FOUNDATION ONLUS
WHAT WE DO
Flying Angels finds, purchases and donates airline tickets,
to seriously ill children all over the world, who are in urgent need
to fly for reaching the proper medical facility where they can be
treated; or it donates airline tickets to medical team who
flies out to perform life-saving treatments.
Flying Angels professionalized and made the transportation
service (children-family-doctors) free, thus offering a cross and
integrative service to those who deal with the protection of
children's health.
To each ticket corresponds a treated child.
4. FLYING ANGELS FOUNDATION ONLUS
WHO HELP
Flying Angels flies children all over the world:
•up to 18 years
•suffering with severe diseases
finding, purchasing and donating round-trip airline tickets or
setting-up an air ambulance flight for:
A - patient (child), travel companion (parent or legal guardian) and
a medical accompaniment, if necessary;
B - doctor and assistant who fly out to operate when the child’s
conditions does not allow him to fly;
C - medical team who flies out to take action for more life-saving
interventions.

WHEN WE OPERATE
Flying Angels is not interested in poor countries but supports poor
families that need help in Italy and around the world.
Three levels of emergency:
• Imminent life threatening (2 or 3 days)
• Life threatening (2 or 3 weeks)
• Severe disability (specialist care)
HOW WE HELP
To receive support from Flying Angels the applications are submitted
to the operational office through the ELEGGIBILITY FORM completely
filled with some required data.
The eligibility form will be immediately submitted to the Scientific
Committee that regulates the acceptance of the case to start
the procedures for the purchase of tickets.
The Scientific Committee is composed of a highly experienced group of
doctors with different specialties, available 24 hrs - 365 days; we have
evidence that 99% of cases have been answered within 6 hours.

The donation can be always verified.
Every child’s flight provided is transferred on the web site
and the donor can check: the departure date, the itinerary,
the airline, the non-profit organization that reported the
case, the accepting Healthcare institution, the miles flown,
and the cost of the flight.

•The Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a circular that has accredited Flying Angels to all the Italian Embassies worldwide for the
humanitarian value of the initiative.
•Flying Angels has been invited to the Rimini’s Meeting to present its case history, as an example to be imitated.
•The Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the Ministry of Economic Development has included Flying Angels as one of five good
examples in the “National action plan on corporate social responsibility”.
•H.H. Pope Benedict XVI in the presence of the Former President of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano, thanked the Flying
Angels Foundation during the 84th anniversary of the Lateran Treaty.
•WI Harper Group fund investment awarded Flying Angels in recognition of its dedicated efforts.
•The Knights of Malta conferred Flying Angels The International Award for humanitarian work.
•The Consular Corps of Milan and Lombardy (109 Consulates) conferred Flying Angels’ President the International Award for charity.
