Guided participants to reach and later achieve each participant’s personal goal of successfullong-term
weight loss using both physiological and psychological aspects. Educated participants on overall weight
loss research from scholarly articles, mental skills training, self-motivation, message’s we receive from
society, goals, and self-esteem. Used my own experience with successfullong-term weight loss to
encourage, motivate, and support each participant.
Facilitated group meetings to create support and encouragement.
Provided motivation and encouragement by using my own experience with successful
long-term weight loss and participated in assigned interventions.
Implemented examples of intake assessment form,exercise prescription, and motivation
log that were created by founder.
Created outlines of summary of major topics regarding weight loss from scholarly
articles, mental skills training, self-motivation, message’s we receive from society,
goals, and self-esteem.
Assigned participants to record weight and body measurements either every week or
every month, rename any body parts that were disliked/identify parts of the body that are
liked/focus on loving whole body, fill out a dysfunctional thought record, choose 3 long-
term motivational strategies to work on, think of selves in terms of abilities/traits/and
qualities instead of body image, and write down 3 positive messages for 2-3 days
regarding food/eating/body images.
