4. The “Myth of Cave” is a theory to put
forward by Plato, concerning human
perception. Plato claimed that knowledge
gained through the sense is no more
than opinion and that, in order to have
real knowledge we must gain it through
philosophical reason.

5. Image a cave, in which there are three
prisoners. The prisoners are tied to some
rock, their arms are legs were bound and
their head was tied so that they can only
look at the stonewall, in front of them.
They were there since their birth and never
saw outside of the cave.
Behind the prisoners was a fire and between
them was a raised walkway.
6. When people walk along this way carrying
their animals or something, they could see the
shadow of them.
Oneday a prisoner escaped from the cave and
he was shocked to see the real world. He
understood, his former view of reality was
wrong.
The prisoner returned to the cave to inform the
other prisoners of his findings. They didn’t
believe him and threatened to kill him.
