Decreasing high turnover rate has been one of the main targets of many companies, especially in the case of blue collar temporary employees. We applied Herzberg's two-factor motivation theory to analyze hygiene factors causing high turnover rate at a Canadian production company. Our recommendations are based on identified essential factors that caused job dissatisfaction. After eliminating job dissatisfaction factors, the employer will be able to work further on classical motivation policies.
