  8. 8. In the early part of the decade, new product launches of milk- containing drinks more than doubled with introductions of shelf-stable and refrigerated varieties tracking closely. However, since 2014, ambient/shelf stable beverage formats have outpaced refrigerated formats.

  10. 10. While shelf-stable protein beverages are popular with consumers, it can be difficult to suspend higher levels of protein for an extended period. Relative product launches of dairy beverages with protein claims increased from 2014 to 2016 and launches of beverages with protein levels above 10 g doubled during that period.
