that is specifically created for those affected with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
 We have a program like nothing out there!
 At Hearth Home we are offering a highly competitive service, with exceptional
specific programing, in a beautiful environment.
Mission Statement
Our mission at Hearth Home is to emulate what family is all about
by providing care for your loved one in a supportive nurturing
home, as if they were being cared for by their own biological
family, while they decline from the devastating affects of
Alzheimer’s Disease.
Objective
Our objective is to provide specialized therapeutic
programs, in an nurturing homelike environment, which
enhances the lives of each Member according to their
individual needs by offering focus centred care based on
personal life experiences and abilities.

 Pickering Durham Region, Population 653,600.
 Population growth was highest in Durham Region among seniors 85 to 90 years
(99%), and 90 years and older (142%). (Durham Regional Health
Department,2014).
 There is 14.4% of the total population are elderly presently in Canada, by the year
2031, there will be 22.8 % based on statistics Canada. (Statistics Canada, 2012).
 There are 747,000 Canadians affected with Dementia, and the numbers are
expected to double to 1.4 million, by the year 2050. (Alzheimer’s Society,2012).
There are no Day Centres in Pickering
“Heart Home”
Due to this increased number of elderly population,
who live in the Durham Region and who have been
diagnosed with a cognitive condition such as
Alzheimer’s, or Dementia, and because there is not
any Adult Day Programs offered in this area, our
target market is predicted to grow astronomically as
the demand for our target market escalates.

services are available and can be arranged such as bathing, incontinence program, hairdresser, footcare, physio/massage. Programs are member centered and
include: music therapy, doll therapy, exercise/yoga, games room, gardening, secure outdoor space/lounge, baking, library.

We will be present at several community events and participate and contribute to

Society of Durham, Durham Ministry of Health, all local hospitals like, nursing homes, etc.
 We will create a utilize all media sources such as Facebook, Twitter, Facetime, etc., in order
to stay current and relevant in the market.
 Professional web based site for contact information, promote and advertise services.
 It is critical that we always seek opportunity to market the business, and in order to
maximized growth potential. Therefore, we will offer free one-day visits to potential clients
so that we can remain present in the potential client’s market, and highlight and showcase
our extraordinary services at Hearth Home
