RISPOSTE

ROMAN FORUM
  - The Roman Forum is located between the Palatine Hill and the Capitoline Hill
    of the city of Rome.
  - The Forum served as a city square where the people of Rome gathered for
    justice and faith.
  - Tabularium is the records office of Rome.

ALTARE DELLA PATRIA
- The monumenti is dedicated to Victor Emmanuel.
- The monument was designed by Giuseppe Sacconi.
- The monument was designed in 1895.

PIAZZA NAVONA
   - In the square there are five monuments: "Fontana dei quattro fiumi", the church
     of "Sant'Agnese in Agone", the Pamphilj palace, "Fontana del Moro" and
     "Fontana di Nettuno".
   - "Fontana dei quattro fiumi" was projected by Gian Lorenzo Bernini.
   - It was a competition area.

VILLA D’ESTE
  - The Villa d'Este is situeted at Tivoli.
  - The Villa D'Este was commissioned by Cardinal Ippolito II d'Este.
  - The most important part are the fantastic garden and the numerous water-plays.

CASTEL SANT’ANGELO
  - The other name of Castel Sant’Angelo is Hadrian’s tomb.
  - Emperior Hadrian built the “Pons Aelius”.
  - Archangel Gabriel appared atop the mausoleum.

TREVIRI FOUNTAIN

   - The architect who projected trevi fountain was Nicolò Salvi.
   - It was built in the 18°century.
   - Trevi Fountain is situated in the city centre.

PANTHEON

   - The first thing that strikes the Pantheon is the large inscription in Latin with
     bronze letters dedicated to Marcus Agrippa.
   - What amazes the visitor of the Pantheon is the contrast between the entry
     square, typical of the temples, and the immense space round the interior.
-   When it rains, the air flows upward leads to fragmentation of the drops of
       water, so it seems it does not rain inside and also to avoid standing water
       inside, were made of both the central and side holes to drain off water.

ARA PACIS

   - The ara pacis augustae is an altar to Peace, envisioned as a Roman goddess.
   - It was consacrated on 30 January 9 BC.
   - The Altar was originally located on the northern outskirts of the city.

MERCATI TRAIANEI
  - Mercati Traianei were built during the second century.
  - Mercati Traianei were ordered by Traiano and designed by Apollodoro di
    Damasco.
  - Mercati Traianei were built for the food’s storage and distribution in the city.

BASILICA DI S. PIETRO
  - It’s in the Vatican State.
  - It’s a state within Rome.
  - Michelangelo made “La Pietà”.

PIAZZA DI SPAGNA
   - In the centre of “Piazza di Spagna” there is the Barcaccia fountain.
   - Pietro Bernini carved the Barcaccia fountain.
   - Francesco De Sanctis designed the staircase of “Piazza di Spagna”.

COLOSSEO
- The emperor who ordered the building of the monument was Vespasian.
- Colosseum can be identified with the name of Flavian amphitheatre.
- Colosseum was used for gladiators contests and public spectacles.
