8. Project DISSERTATION Flow
Project Dissertation is for six weeks ( 45 days ) from 25/05/22 to 10/07/22.
Each student will be allotted a faculty guide from AIMS Institute with expertize in
the specialization.
An executive in the host organization will be a co-guide.
Projects have be individual not a group projects.
All Project Dissertation have to be carried out in Bangalore. Special permission will
be required for other locations.
Project dissertation will consist of approved synopsis, final project report and viva-
voce by external examiner.
Final project report will be hard bound as per prescribed chapters, with certificates
and of minimum 75 to maximum150 pages.
9. Dissertation guidelines
Student needs to study a problem/ issue in the specialization stream chosen. Identification
can be done based on challenges in an organization or research gap analysis from ROL.
Students are required to submit synopsis (of minimum 7-10 pages) for approval. The synopsis
as per format signed by the respective guides will be sent to the University by the Program
Director. The project title/topic, synopsis, progress reports & weekly work diary for each of
the six week period till submission of final report signed by faculty guides must be completed
as per given time lines.
On the completion of project, the student is required to submit the Final Project Dissertation
Report as per format to the Principal through the Faculty Guide & Program Director as per the
set timelines. Delays will not be accepted.
Project Dissertation carries total 250 marks. Of this 200 marks is for the project report and 50
marks is for viva –voce by an external examiner.
Obtaining minimum100 out of 200 marks for the report and 25 out of 50 marks in viva-voce
are essential requirements for completing the MBA programme.
10. Dissertation guidelines
To avoid plagiarism, the students are required to produce a certificate of anti-plagiarism from
the authority recommended. Similarity index should show below 25% .
If you copy from another student (present or previous) or copy sections of any chapter from
academic or other published sources including internet without proper referencing of
authorized/approved sources will call for strict plagiarism procedures. Both AIMS Institutes
and Bangalore University will initiate stern action.
All the material that relates to the dissertation, including completed questionnaires
/interviews, should be shown to the guide and be kept by the students until the University has
declared the results.
Students are advised not to throw the material away once their dissertation is submitted, as
they might be asked to present it as part of the viva voce before their Dissertation results are
declared.
One hardbound copy of dissertations along with soft copy has to be submitted to Bangalore
University
