SOAK UP THE SUN SAFELY

Tanning is a form of skin damage.

Sunburns are thought to increase your risk of skin cancer.

Most of the more than 1 million cases of non-melanoma skin
cancer diagnosed yearly in the U.S. are considered sun-related.
■
Seek shade, especially in the middle of the day, between
10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when the sun’s rays are strongest.
■
Use sunscreen and lip balm with a sun protection factor (SPF)
of 15 or higher and re-apply frequently.
