It is my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Mr. Steven Stiller. I have had the
privilege of getting to know Steven as a student leader on campus for the past two years.
I can speak best about Steven’s willingness to advocate for students’ interests. I first met him as
a freshman, when he initiated a meeting with me to discuss parking options for residential
students. As the conversation unfolded, it occurred to me to ask him how he felt about the “long”
walk to the new parking structure. As it turned out, he didn’t even have a car on campus. He
simply felt inclined as a SGA representative to champion the concerns of other students.
Steven is a conscientious and mature student. He is able to juggle many jobs and
responsibilities with apparent ease. He is President of the SGA and serves on the Student Life
Council and Administrative Council as well. In making decisions, he is able to balance the needs
of his constituents with the interests of the University. I find that to be a rare quality in a student.
Steven would be a top-quality choice for your organization and I highly recommend him for the
internship position. He will work extremely hard and bring a student-centered perspective to the
