Summary Bio:
In 2016, Steve Shaha was introduced at three international conferences as “the premier outcomes
researcher globally in breadth and depth.” He has 35+ years of experience in studies,
consulting, lecturing, teaching and speaking. He has provided advisory work to a long list of
recognized organizations on four continents, including 11 non-US governments.
Steve has 250+ conference presentations, 125+ peer-reviewed journal publications, and four books.
Recently he provided three invited/requested chapters for international reference books in 2015.
With four graduate-level degrees, Steve is full Professor and has taught, adjuncted or lectured at
30+ universities in 6 countries, among them Harvard, Cambridge (UK), the King’s College,
UCLA, Westminster, Columbia and Cornell, and a list of others.
Among many roles, he formerly served as Principal Outcomes Consultant for Allscripts and its client base,
Director of Research for KLAS, Intermountain Health Care (IHC), the Gartner Group, the Institute
for Integrated Outcomes and the International Healthcare Consulting Group. Steve Shaha co-
authored the original healthcare criteria for the coveted Malcolm Baldrige National Quality &
Performance Award.
Some of Steve’s broad and interesting service outside of healthcare includes: Disney, Coca-Cola, Time
Warner, Intel and New Line Cinema. And most recently with the School Improvement Network and
a key leader for Sony international marketing.
