2. Overview
A new, up and coming law firm, Norton Wysong Law, P.A., in the
Tampa Bay area is in need of a Case Management System, as well
as a Document Generating System. Currently, the firm is working off
of spreadsheets, templates and multiple calendars. Norton Wysong
Law, P.A. is in need of a database which will house all case
information. Then once all information is stored and completed, the
firm is in need for some of the database information to transfer over
to a document generating software. From the document
generating software, the needed pleadings for individual cases can
be prepared.
3. Opportunity
Need a way of tracking data, other then on spreadsheets.
Need more time efficient way of preparing documents without
using templates.
Need a calendar of all upcoming court deadlines for multiple
people to view
Need a database where notes on each particular case are stored
Need a database where documents on each particular case are
stored
Need to be able to run reports from specific data within a case
management system
4. Audience Analysis
The firm is aware of the need for a case management system.
Each week a meeting is held to review the issues and problems that
occurred that prior week.
Solutions are discussed as to how to correct those issues and to
formulate the best course of action.
With weekly review of these issues the acceptance of a new systems
seems likely as many issues are caused by lack of knowledge on a
file due to unorganized data or multiple places to look for data.
