Hexagon Magazine Q4 2014: Shaping Change
1. 4 TOGETHER > 2014, Q4
CONTENTS
In my tenure with Hexagon, one of the
greatestthingsI’velearnedsofaristhatour
company is ever evolving, ever advancing
and real development takes place every
second of our work day. As I am sure we
are all familiar, age-old mantras declare
“change is inevitable,” “change is the only
constant,” and “change is ahead.”
Change has been tied to growth and
growth to progress, yet we know it isn’t the easiest to accept.
Working with Hexagon’s brand network, we have heard the motto
“shaping change” alongside our proclamations that we are in fact
“shaping change to meet the growing needs of the world.”
While editing this issue of Together Magazine, it became
apparent to me that we are, in fact, what and who we say we
are, agents of change. And that is no easy feat. Working for an
organisation that has not only embraced change, but acts as a
catalystforsomeofthemostemergingtechnologiesisimpressive,
if not reassuring. Within the following pages, I hope you discover
as I have that the work of Hexagon brand employees shifts the
market and sets the trends, if you don’t already hold that belief.
In this trends and hot topics-based issue, we work to spotlight the
impact our business makes on industries we serve.
Moreremarkably,withinthisissue,therearemoreopportunities
to ‘get to know’ and become familiar with our colleagues—beyond
their job titles. It is one thing to understand what we do, but
learning who we are is what excites me. I have found in just a few
short days that the people of Hexagon are so unique. We have
diverse backgrounds that make themselves apparent in aptitudes
shown in the workplace and our hobbies further prove our
divergent talents. Yet, we share so many commonalities. We are
each committed to Hexagon and its global brand network and we
are committed to a change culture that leaves an indelible mark.
I hope you enjoy reading this issue as much as the Together
team and I enjoyed putting it together.
Best,
Stephanie Leigh-Ann Johnson
