regeneration in Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve under direction of Dr. Ramón Perea García-Calvo
• Monitored and measured seedlings in greenhouse experiment examining combined effects of differing
levels of herbivory and water stress on seedling survival of two oak species
• Lab experience included measurement of leaf area, basal diameter, plant height, nitrogen index,
chlorophyll content, anthocyanin content, flavonol content, and dessication on standardized scale for
seedlings in order to measure plant health

• Participated in excavation of pre-Incan temple in the Andes of northern Peru
• Identified soil layers from different time periods and classified archaeological artifacts
• Recorded and illustrated layers of excavation

9/13 – 6/15 East Palo Alto Academy Tutor, Stanford University, Stanford, CA
• Tutored middle school student for two hours every week in in Mathematics and English Language Arts
• Attended training sessions for tutoring students in various subjects and mentoring students
