1. The road less traveled
by Kent Spoerlein | on April 3, 2013
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.
Then took the other as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood
And I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference.
2. - Robert Frost, The Road Not Taken (emphasis mine)
You are on a journey, your life path. That path is a curve.
You are either curving upward or downward. There is no in-between.
It may seem to you that today was much like yesterday. It wasn’t. It was different. Every day is
different. Appearances can be deceiving – and almost always are. There may be times when things
seem to be on a steady, even keel. This is an illusion in life. There is no such thing as staying in the
same place. There are no straight lines; everything curves. If you’re not increasing, you’re
decreasing.
What direction is YOUR life going?
If what you’ve been doing up until now is not bringing you the satisfaction and success you seek,
perhaps now is the time to consider an alternative path…
Perhaps it’s time to take the road less traveled.
Your dreams may lie at the end of that road. You have to go down the path to see where it leads.
