institution
Not many know this but Quinton De Kock has done his schooling from King Edward VII
High School whose alumni include former South-African legendary cricketers-Neil
McKenzie and Graeme Smith.
2.Cheerleader Love
In a CLT20 match against the Mumbai Indians in 2012,Quinton played a scintillating
knock of 51 for his team(Highveld Lions).Not only was that knock crucial in the context of
the game, but it also drew him a lot of supporters,including a cheerleader in Sasha
Hurly.He himself stated-“After the game, she came up and congratulated me. Later, I
thanked her back over Facebook. As we started talking, it just clicked. I didn’t think it
could start on the field”.These two have been reportedly dating since.

when De Kock was young,he was called ,"Tubby Taylor",mainly because he was fat and
round and somehow looked like Australian great Mark Taylor.However he took it
seriously and worked hard on his fitness and lost a lot of weight. From then on,he is
called,"Quinny".

Going by his looks,one might think of him to be a very meek and a timid person.
Although he is a bit soft-spoken when it comes to matters in the field,he is not that shy

Well we all saw this one coming, especially if we fall for his looks.He is often the victim of
pranks and here are a few instances.When his fellow countryman Chris Morris got
selected for the Champion's Trophy in 2013,he said,"I’ve got butterflies the size of
Quinton de Kock in my tummy."
Another incident which needs mention happened during a match versus Australia where
Glenn Maxwell mistimed a shot and the ball went high up in the air.Both De Kock and
Steyn ran for the catch before the latter pulled out of it.After completing the catch a
smiling De Kock looked at Steyn only to find a very angry and nasty look on his face.But
however Steyn saw the petrified Quinton and gave him a hug which calmed the
keeper.Later,we got to know that it was just a prank!
