My subject is the combination of two expertise fields. One is cultural landscape en heritage, as such and in relation to spatial planning and design. The other is knowledge, information en communication, by whatever means (but mostly digital). My present research subject - for a PhD is the combination of those fields.Participation is an important issue, as there are local experts (non-professionals) who often know a lot, as well as (other) interested citizens. The media and information form and the applied technology are important too, as these are partly responsible for what and how can be done. This becomes clear from, for instance, the affordances and performances of information resources
