How can we make sure ‘anytime and anywhere, easy and safe, clear and smooth’?
1. Video encode and decode
If video can be seen from camera to terminals (phone, Pad, Laptop…), it needs a
process of ‘Front data acquisition→encode→transmit→decode→terminal
watch’. Different video codec technology will decide video size and
quality. We adopted:
a. H.264
It can support to transport high definition, low code stream video in narrow
network bandwidth, making sure video is smooth and no ghosting.
b. Motion coding

Only encode and transmit the movement of image, stationary part of the image
remains the same. This technology can decrease video size and do not need a
wide bandwidth when transmitting video.
c. Hardware and software decode at the same time
Only software decoding technology will do harm to video quality, but we also
develop a special hardware decoding technology to decode video, maximally
reducing the harm to video quality when decoding.
2. Smart transmit
In this industry, most cameras adopt P2P technology, but P2P has its limitations.
a. Network connection rate is low.
P2P solves a problem that how to find A and B easily. But in real world,
network environment is very complicated, especially crossing different
countries, there are multiple-layer NATs, P2P cannot penetrate them. That
means users cannot watch video at this situation.
b. Cannot support multiple-people viewing.
When members of a family or a school want to watch one camera at the
same time, P2P cannot support.

When network is good, it will transmit high quality image; when network is
not good, it will give priority to ensure transmit smooth image.

3. Cloud platform
It is the core of the whole system. It is consisted of different independent servers
from different regions, such as US, EU, Asia, and Africa. And all servers are

We name each server as a cloud note. The number of cloud notes can be
increased depending on users’ demand in different regions.
Now we have built a cloud platform around the world, providing services to vast
amounts of user.
