4. 技術內容— Pushpin Computing Platform
• Pushpin node
– Communication layer: features infrared
transceiver, radius of roughly 10 cm.
– Processing layer: 8-bit micro-controller from
Silicon Laboratory, 22MHz, 2.25k of RAM and
32k of non-volatile flash memory.
– Sensing layer: includes a photo-reansistor or
microphone and some LEDs.

A Pushpin node
• Operating system: Bertha
– Provides necessary software libraries to access
hardware and OS services.
– Runs on top of a boot loader (in flash) that
allows the OS itself to be easily replaced when
newer version become available.
– Updates can be beamed to one Pushpin using
an infrared transceiver connected to a serial
port.
