 Used Auto Regression Model to forecast stocks’ prices
 Used Pair Trading Model to pick top ten mean-reverting pairs and calculate the expected returns
 Used Principal Component Analysis to form 5 risk factors, then used Vector Auto Regression to forecast next period risk
factors, at last calculated next period prices
 Used Market Neutral Model to form market neutral portfolio and calculate the expected returns
 Calculated the correlation between real data and forecast data
 Compared with Auto Regression and Vector Auto Regression, Pair Trading and Market Neutral models have much better
forecast ability
What's the Role of Demographic Dividend in China's Economic Development Fall 2014
 Set up the model on basis of Cobb-Douglas production function
 Collected the time series data from 1978 to 2013 from National Bureau of Statistics of China and the World Bank
 Used MATLAB to plot various graphs, e.g. population growth, population structure
 Used R to regress China’s economic growth on factors as agestructure, labor force participation, education
 Extended the model with some other elements such as international trade, urbanization, legalprogress, openness
 Showed that China has a demographic dividend but urbanization, legalprogress and openness played a more important
role
 Picked up the best regression model to forecast China’s economic development from 2014 to 2050
 Used LATEX to write the paper
