We are at the end of Q1 and there is a lot of volatility in the San
Francisco condo market. January was unusually active, due to
various factors including the unpredictability of the Trump
administration, news of three potential rate hikes in 2017, and
the hype surrounding the Warriors breaking ground in our
neighborhood.
The graph to the left shows the rolling 6 month average $/SF sold
in Mission Bay. There was a slight uptick with the sales of multiple
1 bedroom view units, however, there is a consistent gradual de-
cline over the past 12 months. We believe this is the first year of a
multi-year correction in our real estate market.
There is more equilibrium between buyers and sellers, and we
advise sellers to reexamine their time horizons for holding property.
If within 12 months, we believe now is the time for sellers to
maximize their return on their investment.

January was unusually active, due to various factors including the unpredictability of the Trump administration, news of three potential rate hikes in 2017, and the hype surrounding the Warriors breaking ground in our neighborhood. The graph to the left shows the rolling 6 month average $/SF sold in Mission Bay. There was a slight uptick with the sales of multiple 1 bedroom view units, however, there is a consistent gradual de- cline over the past 12 months. We believe this is the first year of a multi-year correction in our real estate market. There is more equilibrium between buyers and sellers, and we advise sellers to reexamine their time horizons for holding property.
