Sherris Schwind, ESL Specialist at the ALI, has for years
immersed herself in the rich multi-cultural world of international
students, becoming their advocate and ally for their continued
success in navigating a global society. She is heavily involved in
student activities that honor heritages and contributions, and is
continually promoting individual students, programs, and
successes at UT. Much of this promotion is through her
Facebook page, in which she is able to share a close-up view of
the lived experiences of her students with the UT community at
large, and beyond. As a strong, independent and single woman
and mother, she also connects well and supports women in their
endeavors, providing inspiration in her lived experiences.
