to discover. Education is an important aspect of our
mission. As the teaching hospitals for the
Stanford University School of Medicine,
Stanford Hospital Clinics and Lucile
Packard Children’s Hospital play a key
role in the training of physicians and other
medical professionals. The hospitals
provide a clinical environment for the
translation of medical research into
effective patient care. We are committed
to sharing ideas, expertise and information
with our colleagues throughout the world.
The Visiting Clinician Observership is
specifically tailored to the needs and
professional educational requirements

collaboration with our faculty, visiting
clinicians gain knowledge and skills that
augment and enrich their existing clinical
