Digital Media Photoshop
Anne Stokes was a different influence on my own artwork than other artists,
who influenced me. As she used digital media techniques to produce her
masterpieces than original fine art materials, and still get the same intricate
detail within each piece.
Stokes has inspired me to use and develop my own artwork in new different,
interesting ways such as using Adobe Photoshop and applying new features or
changing the style of the image. In additionally, by more experimenting with
new art-creating techniques would allow me to develop in skill-wise, but by
taking my artwork in a new approach.
The first time, I looked at one of her pieces was when I was in my last year of
sixth form; the piece was ‘Spiny Woodland Hopper’. This piece I was
influenced by the fine detail that it put into the scales of the dragon and used a
similar effect with my own work throughout the year.
A comparison to all Anne Stokes’ artwork is
that she produces all her artwork by digital
media unlike my other 5 artists, who draws
with oil or acrylic paints on canvas.
Another comparison that shows Anne Stokes
to be different than my other 5 artists, is that
Anne Stokes uses her own imagination to
create fantasy artwork whilst the other 5
artists, draws something that’s real and
everyday thing we all see.
