2. A Modal Verb is a type of auxiliary
(helping) Verb that has no meaning on its
own but it modifies the main verb,
changes its meaning and gives more
details about the action.
4. Would is the past tense form of will. it is used
to talk about the past, hypothesis ( when we
imagine something) for politeness.
Example:-
Would you help me ? ( Request )
His mother would not let him go to the party. (Past)
Would you like some biscuits?( Polite Offer )
5. Can is one of the most commonly used modal
verbs in English. It can be used to express
ability or opportunity.
Example:-
Can you help me please ?
Can I give you some advice?
6. In possible sentences, there is no
difference in meaning between may
and might .However, there are
difference between the two words
in terms of some uses.
Example:-
I may/might go to the market.
It may/might rain today.
7. Must is used to express
obligation,necessity of something, give
orders and give advice. It is commonly
used for present and future reference.
EXAMPLE:-
John must study hard.
You must see a doctor at once.
8. We use will to express beliefs about the
present or future. To talk about what people
want to do or willing to do,to.make
promises, offers and requests.
Example:-
Ali will receive us at the railway station.
Will you go with me?
He says he will talk to the man tomorrow.
9. Ought to is a type of auxiliary modal verb
used to express obligation and duty
through advice or recommendations.
Examples:-
You ought to help the needy.
He ought to obey his parents
