﴾ ‫ﻓﻼ َﺗﺪ ُﻮﺍ ﻣﻊَ ﺍﻟﻠﻪِ ﹶﺃﺣَﺪﹰﺍ‬

THE SECOND: Allah is not pleased that anyone should be made a
sharer in worship along with Him, neither any angel brought near,
nor any prophet sent as a messenger and the proof is the saying of

‫ﺍﺍﷲ ﻭَﺭَ ُﻮﻟﹶ ُ ﻭﻟﻮ ﻛﹶﺎﻥﹶ ﺃﹶﺃﻗﺮﺏ ﻗﺮﹺﻳﺐ ، ﻭَﺍﻟﺪﻟِﻴﻞ ﻗﻮﻟﻪ ﺗَﻌَﺎﻟﹶﻰ :‬
‫ﱠﻟﻴ ﹸ ﻗﹶﻮْﹸ ُ ﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ‬
‫ﷲَ ﺳ ﻪ ﻭَﻟﹶﻮْ ﻛﺎﻥ ﻗﹾﺮَﺏَ ﹶﺮﻳﺐﹴ ﻭﺍﻟﺪ ﻞ ﻟﻪ‬
‫ﻭﺭﺳﻮﻟﻪ‬
‫﴿ ﻻ َﺗﺠﹺﺪ ﻗﻮْﻣﺎ ُﻳﺆﻣُﻮﻥ ﺑَﺎﷲِ ﻭَﺍﹾﻟﻴَﻮﻡﹺ ﺍﻵﺧﺮﹺ ُ َﺍ ﱡﻭﻥ ﻣﻦ ﺣَﺎﺩ ﺍﷲ‬
‫ِ ﻳﻮ ﺩ ﹶ َ ْ ﱠ َ‬
‫ُ ﹶ ﹰ ْ ِﻨ ﹶ‬
‫ﻭﺭ ُﻮﻟﻪ ﻭﻟﹶﻮ ﻛﹶﹶﺎُﻮﺍ ﺁﺑَﺎﺀَ ُﻢ ﺃﹶﻭ ﺃﹶﹶﺑﻨﺎﺀَﻫﻢ ﺃﹶﻭ ﹺﺇﺧﻮَﺍَﻧﻬﻢ ﺃﹶﻭ ﻋﺸﲑَﺗﻬُﻢ‬
‫ﻫ ْ ُْ ْ ْ ُْ ْ َ َِ ْ‬
‫َ َﺳ َ ْ ﻧ‬
‫ﹸﻭ ﺌِﻚ ﻛﺘﺐ ﻓِﻲ ﹸﻠﻮﺑﻬ ُ ﺍﻹﳝَﺎﻥﹶ ﻭَﺃﹶﱠﺪَ ُﻢْ ُﻭﺡﹴ ﻨْ ُ ﻭﻳﺪﺧِﻠﻬﻢ‬
‫ﺃﺃﻭﻟﻟﹶﺌﻚَ ﻛﹶﺘَﺐَ ﻓﻲ ﻗﻠﻮﺑﹺﻬﹺﻢ ﺍﻹِﳝﺎﻥ ﻭﺃﻳﺪﻫﻢ ﺑﹺﺮﻭﺡ ﻣِﻨﻪ ﻭَُﺪْﺧﹸ ُﻢْ‬
‫ﻪ ﻳ ﻠﻬ‬
‫ﻳﻫ ﺮ‬
‫ﻗ ﻢ‬
‫ﺟﱠﺎﺕ َﺗﺠﺮﹺﻱ ﻣﻦ َﺗﺤِﺘﻬَﺎ ﺍﻷْﻧﻬَﺎﺭ ﺧَﺎِﻟﺪِﻳﻦ ﻓِﻴﻬَﺎ ﺭﺿﻲ ﺍﷲ ﻋْﻨﻬﻢ‬

‫ﻭﺭ ُﻮﺍ ﻋﻨُْْ ﹸﺃﻭﻟِﺌﻚ ﺣﺰْ ُ ﺍﷲ ﹶﺃﺃﻻ ﺇ ﱠ ﺣﺰْﺏ ﺍﷲِ ُ ُ ﺍﳌﻔﹾﻠ ُﻮﻥﹶ‬

‫َ َﺿ َ ُ ﺃ ﹶ َ ِ ﺏ ِ ﹺﻥ ِ َ ﻫﻢ ِ ُ‬

5. THE THIRD: That whoever is obedient to the Messenger and singles out
Allah with all worship, upon tawheed, then it is not permissible for him
to have friendship and alliance with those who oppose Allah and His
Messenger, even if they are those most closely related to him, and the
proof is the saying of Allah, the Most High: “You will not find any

those who oppose Allah and his Messenger, even though they were
their fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred (people);

for such He has written faith In their hearts, and strengthened them with
proofs, light and true guidance from Himself; and we will admit them

(forever). Allah is pleased with them, and they with Him; they are the
party of Allah. Verily, it is the party of Allah that will be the successful.

﴾ ‫ﻗﺎﻝ ﺗﺗﻌﺎﻟﻲ ﴿ ََﺎ ﺧَﻠﹶﻘﹾ ُ ﺍﺍﻟﻟﹾﺠ ﱠ ﻭﺍﻟﻟﹾﺄِﻧﺲَ ﺇﱠﺎ ﻟِﻴﻌﺒﺪﻭﻥ‬

Know, may Allah direct you to obedience to Him, that the true and
straight Religion, the way of Ibrahim, is that you worship Allah
alone making the Religion purely and sincerely for Him. This is
what Allah commanded all of the people with and it was for this
with,
that He created them. Allah, the Most High, says: “I did not
create jinn and mankind except that they should worship me

... ‫ﺇﹺﻓﺮَﺍﺩ ﺍﷲِ ﹺﺑﹺﺎﻟﻌﺒَﺎﺩﺓ‬

... and the meaning of worship (‘ibaadah) here is to single Allah
out with all worship (tawheed). And the greatest of all that Allah
has commanded is tawheed which is to single out Allah with all
worship.

﴾ ‫َﺗﻌَﺎﻟﹶﻰ : ﴿ ﻭَﺍﻋُﺒ ُﻭﺍ ﺍﷲ ﻭَﻻ ُﺸﺮ ﹸﻮﺍ ﹺﺑﻪ ﺷﻴْﺌﺎ‬

... and the most serious thing that He forbade is shirk which is to
