• Composed and distributed a press release to introduce Venga Venga’s Destination Menu to local
foodie and lifestyle media.

during this project included writers/editors from the following media outlets (media invitations
extended well beyond this list).

• In addition to invitations to dine, Contour PR + Social also sent the Venga Venga team emailed
reminders prior to every media guests’ visit to the restaurant to ensure it was top of mind with
staff.
• Pitched Rochard Sandoval/Venga Venga to appear on local news stations to promote the new
Destination Menu; secured a morning news segment on FOX 5 San Diego and subsequently
coordinated and attended this news appearance.
• Invited additional foodie media in to Venga Venga during Richard Sandoval’s time in San Diego;
no media were able to attend (though many visited at a later time to experience/review the
Destination menu, as listed above).
• Advised the Venga Venga team on best social media practices regarding San Diego Magazine’s
annual Best Restaurants survey.
• Requested Destination menu recipes to pitch to media; client did not provide this item and as a
result Contour PR + Social was unable to pitch recipes to media.
• Worked with the Venga Venga team to determine Easter dining specials and advised on securing
details in time to pitch media; no Easter specials were created outside of Venga Venga’s regular
brunch, and information was received on short notice, resulting in a very limited amount of
Easter pitching.
