This is a Christmas theme I designed for the theater stage in our apartment building. I wanted to give the residents some Christmas Spirit for the holidays!

tenantswhomareall55to85yearsofage.Severalofusareinthefinalstagesof
lifewithhospicehomecareandterminalmedicalconditions.
OurapartmenthomesareinsideoftheMulberrySchool -ahistoricalredbrickbuilding
builtin1794! Itistwostoriesandthe325year oldheavy, double-widewooden
classroomdoorsgracethefrontentranceofmyapartment.The14foothighceilingsand
authentic,slatwoodfloorsthathavesurvivedthecenturies.Thisbuildingisanofficial
historicalsitemonitoredbythelocalcitygovernmentofStatesville,NC.
Allthe“class rooms”have beenremodeledintooneortwobedroomapartments.
Ilivein aspacious,1bedroomapartmentsuiteinonecornerofthebuildingonthe
secondfloor.Itwasoriginallythesixthgradeclassroom.Peopleaskme,“Arethere
ghostslivinghere?”Ialwaysanswer,“Yes, teacher,MissShaderhashersecretwaysof
keepingmefromleavingtoomuchclutterorkitchenmesses inmyapartment.”
