Musical Instrument Recognition In Monophonic Tones July 2014 - Dec 2014
Subject: Machine Learning
This project outlines an approach to detect the musical instruments in a given audio sample. This could
potentially help music search engines to search by genre, or instruments in particular. The proposed system
is a web application that would enable the user to recognize the instruments in monophonic tones.
Responsibility: I was responsible for pre processing of data, training the model and test the hypothesis.
Learning is Sharing: A web portal with Android app May 2014 - July 2014
Subject: Software Engineering
Building an android application and its web counterpart to host short tutorials. The application tries to
transmit the video being made, in real time. The android application interacts with the database using
APIs published. The web application used Struts 2.0 Framework while the web services were provided
using REST Framework.
Responsibility: I was responsible for managing database and publishing all the APIs .
Offline Handwriting Recognition Using Neural Networks Jan 2014 - May 2014
Subject: Project Elective
This problem belongs to the OCR category which has been solved for digits and printed characters. The
offline category of handwriting recognition is more of an image processing problem to derive
meaningful representations for each character and build a model which could be used for recognition.
Responsibility: I was responsible for pre-processing of images to extract lines, words and the characters
from image. I also developed a model for features to be used in Neural Network which is used in the
final stage.
Prototype of Facebook March 2014 - May 2014
Subject: OOAD
Created a clone of online website Facebook.com with an aim to understand the complexity associated
with an enterprise application and to understand the benefits of MVC architecture.
Responsibility: I was responsible for designing Friends module –sending and receiving friend request,
manage categories, delete/add friend. I was also responsible for managing database and approving
change requests by different team members.

Subject: OOAD
A mini project aimed to learn Model Driven Architecture. Student information System is a web portal
for students to process academic requirements.
Responsibility: Designing the database, implementing the module for managing academic
requirements of a student.
Dial-A-Ride Problem with Pickup Time Window Sept 2013 – Nov 2013
Subject: Algorithms
Dial-a-ride is a form of public transport system which tries to achieve the comfort level of a taxi service
at low cost. It is characterized by flexible routing and scheduling of small vehicles operating in shared-
ride mode between pick-up and drop-off locations as requested by passengers. The main objective of the
project is to schedule the cabs, in such a way as to maximize the revenue.
Responsibility: Designing and implementing the algorithm.
