1. Exporting coordinate file from Allegro
Allegro software is Cadence's PCB design software for high-end business users, mainly for
high-speed, high-density circuit board design, especially in communications and other fields
are widely used.
The following are the steps of exporting coordinate data from allegro software:
1) Open the PCB design file in Allegro,

2) Set the origin parameter and change to metric units. Selecting menu "Setup → Drawing
Size ...” there is a pop-up window Pic 1, selecting millimeter for “user units”, entering the
new origin position relative to the current origin of the coordinate data in “MOVE ORIGIN”,
and then press "OK" button.
3) Coordinate file is exported. Selec6ng menu “File → Export → Placement…”, Popping up
window in Pic 2.
Note: Selecting Body Center for Placement Origin,pressing the “Export” button to export the
coordinate data.

2. Another way:
1) See below pic3-1, clicking menu “tools—>report” to getting a popping up window in
pic3-2

3. 2) Double click “Component Report” in the drop down list, highlight it and then click “report”.

3) In the popping up window, click “saving” button on the top left (see pic 3-4) and name the
file, see pic 3-5
