• The nature of work is changing and the way we work will change dramatically in the future.
• Technological change and business digitalization are some of the causes.
• New skills and abilities will be needed to face business challenges (WDR 2019, World Bank).

• Labor contracts are not stable and trends such as gig
economies are generating instability (ILO, 2017)

• Between 50-70 million Jobs will be cut to 2050 because
of automation (McKinsey, 2017)
• Trends like ageing population, migration and
urbanization will shape the labor force composition

• 6 of 10 adults have no digital and ICT skills, which are
necessary for the future Jobs (OECD, 2019)
• Between 1.5-2 billion people are still working in the
