End-of-summer evaluation from President of Pathfinder LLC
From: LJC
I met briefly with Sam Cyliax on Thursday afternoon (31 July) and took the opportunity to discuss his
summer 2014 internship at PFI. The following is a listing of the most relevant remarks.
1. How did you enjoy your internship & what did you find most interesting?
Sam indicated that overall he enjoyed his summer at PFI and got involved in essentially two primary elements
of work. The first couple of months he worked with the Inelectra Market Study teamand found this interesting
& challenging. After this, he spent the remaining period of time working with our Financial department
which was also interesting and the business line that Sam intends to follow in college for the foreseeable
future. He particularly enjoyed attending the Energy Ocean Conference in Atlantic City with PGW wherein
he came in contact with folks investigating ocean energy potential.
2. What aspects of PFI’s work most align with your interests?
Business & financial.
3. If PFI was in the position to invite you back next summer, would you consider it?
Sam said yes he would like to be considered to return and work deeper into his discipline.
At this point, LJC provided the following general performance feedback to Sam which was developed as a
result of discussions with various PFI personnel who Sam had worked with during his internship:
 Your associates consideryou to be a strong performer who is bright, alert and thoughtful – and not afraid to
politely express your ideas and/or opinions.
 Very personable, likeable and good teamplayer.
 Diligent worker.
 Sharp young man, with a bright & promising future.
I closed the session with our thanks for a job well done and my best wishes for an enjoyable & successful
upcoming school year and a healthy & winning soccer season.
