2. Horror-“The Last Survivor”
The film revolves around the isolation and darkness of woodland areas, with
the theme of paranoia that is heavily associated with horror films such as
“The Blaire Witch project” and other found footage horror films.
The lead victim role will be played by a female, playing to certain gender
stereotypes, and emphasising the victims vulnerability. This is a technique
that many films in the horror genre have used before.
Sound in the film will consist of mid ranged synth and strings, creating an
ambient droning.
3. Target Audience
The film is aimed at younger audiences, with a twelve plus age certificate.
The film will act as an entry level for viewers who are unfamiliar with the
horror genre.
The lack of extreme violence or adult content means that this film would be
attractive to older people who are also less familiar with the genre.
4. Location
A forest/woodland will be used for the location, as the trees will cast
shadows, creating a darker atmosphere by use of darker lighting.
Forests are also heavily associated with isolation, a theme that will be
prevalent in our film.
5. Logistics
The film will require a woodland are for filming, so a risk assessment is
required.
The minimal cast means that actor’s wages will be minimal.
There will be very few special effects, achieving a naturalistic film, and
keeping costs low.
