energy of various polymer substrates

Leadership: Biomedical Engineering Senior Design Project Spring 2015
Seating System for Person with Hip Disarticulation
 Worked alongside four bioengineering seniors, doctors from Hershey Medical Center,
and a hip disarticulate patientto create a comfortable, pain-free cushion that adhered to
the patient’s needs
 In charge of scheduling meeting times, conference calls, and making sure that all team
members completed their assignments according to class due dates
 Created a five-layer cushion made of a combination of memory foam and micro-bead gel
packs that appropriately suited our patient’s needs based on pain-scale and comfort-scale
analysis, as well as pressure mapping analysis.
Phi Sigma Rho Engineering Sorority
Public Relations Chair Fall 2014
 In charge of running the sorority’s various social media platforms
 Led the sorority to form relationships with other Greek and engineering organizations
Standards Board Member Fall 2012 & Fall 2014
 Made sure 60+ women adhered to the standards of the sorority
 Approved absences and deal with misconduct of sorority members
Housing Chair: Executive Board Position Spring-Fall 2013
 Inaugural position in charge of preparing for the sorority’s first Greek floor in 2014
 Responsible for creating a point system to deserving active sisters for floor priority
 Held meetings with other executive board chairs on a weekly basis to discuss updates
within the sorority and made decisions accordingly
Engineering Orientation Network: Mentor August 2013
 Led a group of freshmen engineering students around campus on orientation day
 Headed a web session to familiarize them with Penn State’s various online systems
