Seating System for Person with Hip Disarticulation
Worked alongside four bioengineering seniors, doctors from Hershey Medical Center,
and a hip disarticulate patientto create a comfortable, pain-free cushion that adhered to
the patient’s needs
In charge of scheduling meeting times, conference calls, and making sure that all team
members completed their assignments according to class due dates
Created a five-layer cushion made of a combination of memory foam and micro-bead gel
packs that appropriately suited our patient’s needs based on pain-scale and comfort-scale
analysis, as well as pressure mapping analysis.
