Job Description

Role: Level 1 Production Support Analyst for Regulatory Compliance & Global Standards.
Experience Summary : 34 Months (HSBC Experience)
Project Summary: Currently, I work for HSBC Software Development India Pvt. Ltd. Pune (HSDI) on
Regulatory Compliance and Global Standards project as a level 1 production support analyst.
We support 12 applications which come under following categories.
1. Market Surveillance applications for Financial Market and front office/back office trading.
This project covers Surveillance applications. Surveillance applications provides a consolidated surveillance
system with reporting, data mining and follow-up tools to monitor HSBC’s business and trading, Financial
Market activities at the customer and firm account level (for a front office and back office trading). The
systems are able to detect and provide preventive measures against potential market manipulative and
abusive activities that may violate regulatory requirements and laws in different jurisdictions.
2. Compliance In-house applications.
This project covers few applications for conflicts checking, regulatory reporting, developing and implementing
Group-wide compliance system for the collection, processing and storage of equity position information, as
well as to facilitate the regulatory reporting and disclosure of substantial shareholdings interests, track the
status of compliance reviews, regulatory inspections, projects issues and reportable events.
 Tenure: August 2013 – Until Today.
 Team Size: 15 (Including India, Canada and China).
My Responsibilities
1. Incident Management: All incidents should be logged against the correct Configuration Items with the correct
priority and resolve it as per agreed SLA or escalate it to next level teams.
2. Training, Mentoring and Guiding to team members on product knowledge, process orientation, technical
guidance, and customer handling.
3. Application Monitoring and Support: Required to monitor and diagnose the applications end to end flow in
order to achieve client SLA’s.
4. Server Health Checks: Health check all the Compliance application on timely basis to make sure that
applications are up and any issues can be identified well in advance.
5. Ticket Management: Capability of handling tickets with excellent response times.

6. Team Co-ordination: Coordinating between L1, L2 and L3 (Development) support teams so that work can be
done on priority basis and nothing with high priority could be missed.
7. Out Of Office Support: Work on call on rotation basis during non-office hours.
8. I have hands on experience of working under crisis scenarios.
9. Work on Control-M application to make sure daily batches are running well.
10. Knowledgebase update: Keep knowledgebase updated after every new issue we get, either functionality of
application or behavior of batch or update the existing knowledge base.
