The document discusses the 2015 Senior Class Gift at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. A group of seniors have been meeting weekly with the director of alumni relations to establish a scholarship as their class gift. They hope that contributing to this gift will help future students afford an education, as financial assistance from scholarships helped many of the seniors. The Senior Class Gift Committee is asking each senior to donate whatever amount they feel comfortable giving to support this scholarship. Their goal is 100% participation from the graduating class to help give another student the opportunity to attend Pitt Bradford.

Senior Class Gift
Every Friday for the past month or so a handful of seniors shuffle into an empty
conference room in the Frame-Westerberg Commons and are joined by Lindsay
Retchless, the director of alumni relations.
I am one of those seniors; we have been meeting once a week to discuss our 2015
Senior Class Gift that will, once endowed, become a scholarship.
We can consider our senior class gift our first responsibility as soon-to-be-alumni.
When you make a contribution to our 2015 Senior Class Gift you are contributing
to the education of a future student of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
Our 2015 graduating class is diverse in many ways, we come from different
places, have faced different struggles, learned different things, confronted different fears
and by the end of April, we will have earned a variety of degrees.
One thing, however, that we will have in common for the rest of our lives is Pitt
Bradford. A second common factor in our lives, I assume, is a deep appreciation for and
commitment to education.
The beauty in giving to the 2015 Senior Class Gift is that we are able to assist a
future Panther in achieving an education similar to the ones that we have received.
It’s well known on campus that most students who go to our university have
received scholarships. Since many students in our class have been financially helped by
scholarships, it makes sense to give back in this way, though it may seem that we have
little to give.
The 2015 Senior Class Gift Committee is asking that every senior donate $20.15
as a symbolic gift. However, we understand that most students are financially strapped.

Senior Class Gift
Any senior who gives five dollars or more to our class gift will be given an
exclusive alumni pin that can be worn at commencement.
If five dollars isn’t budget-friendly for you, we ask that you donate whatever
amount is comfortable for your situation.
The committee’s goal for our senior class gift isn’t a monetary amount; we simply
ask that every senior donate whatever he or she can. Our goal is one hundred percent
participation from our fellow soon-to-be-alumni.
You can make your gift at www.givetoUPB.org or fill out the pledge form that
was sent to your campus mailbox.
Together we can help to give a future student the education that he or she hopes
for.
Together we can touch the life of a student who may not otherwise have the
collegiate experience that is unimaginably special, here at Pitt Bradford.
