Leukemia is a cancer of the blood cells that starts in the bone marrow, causing it to produce abnormal blood cells called leukemia cells. There are different types of leukemia including acute (ALL or AML) or chronic (CLL or CML) forms. Common symptoms of leukemia include fever, headache, easy bleeding, and weight loss.
