OSHA proposed delaying the deadline for its electronic injury and illness reporting rule from July 1, 2017 to December 1, 2017. The rule requires certain employers to report workplace injury and illness information electronically using OSHA forms 300, 300A, and 301. However, OSHA indicated that its website for submitting electronic reports will not be ready by the July deadline. Employers should continue recording and reporting workplace injuries as required but monitor developments for when a new reporting deadline is officially set.
