● Anne Lamott was born in San Francisco , and
graduated from Drew School . His father,
Kenneth Lamott , was also a writer . His death
was the focus of his first published novel , Hard
Laughter . He has a son, Sam , born in 1989 and
a grandson , Jax .
● Lamott has been described as someone who
captures very well the style of narrative
nonfiction , called particularism
