the consumption of lubricants (less environmental impact to Vale) with use of lubes with lower consumption but higher
performance.
• Business Development of new grease for cold rolling process of CSN Steel with total sales of 36 t /year and revenue forecast
of R$ 900K;
• Energy Saving with high performance gear oil at BP Ituiutaba Sugar Mill. Projection Energy savings of R$ 1.7 Million to BP ITT
when special gear oil is fully implemented at the 403 gearboxes of the plant;
• Suporte na aprovação de lubrificante biodegradável para uso em Moinhos de Bola marca chinesa CITIC na Vale (unidade
Conceição – MG). Consumo 18 t/ano e faturamento de R$ 500 mil.

employees and revenues in 1998 of US$ 5 billion. In 2000, the Burmah-Castrol was acquired by BP.

During this period I have worked very closely with Castrol Research Centre at Pangbourne (UK), which allowed me to improve my
skills in the development of high-performance metalworking fluids and become R&D Senior Chemist. One of my biggest
challenges was to identify raw materials available in Brazil that met the same specification and performance of global raw
materials and adapt the formulas of Castrol products to local manufacturing.

My job was develop new lubricant formulations and make adjustments to international formulas to meet local manufacturing.
