Dick Gould enjoyed an illustrious coaching career at Stanford University from 1966 to 2004. During this time, he led the tennis team to an unprecedented 17 NCAA titles, nearly half of his seasons. As coach, 50 of his players received All-American honors and 10 singles players and 7 doubles teams won individual championships. Several players also went on to success in professional tennis, including Roscoe Tanner and John McEnroe.
