 Robb LaKritz is managing partner at LaKritz Adler, a real

positions, Robb LaKritz served as a presidential appointee
and senior-ranking economic policymaker at the United
States Treasury. In this role, Mr. LaKritz directed international
economic policy among other duties.
Established by an Act of Congress in 1789, the United States
Department of the Treasury’s primary role is to manage the
money and related assets of the country. Separated into two
divisions, operating bureaus and departmental offices, the
agency has a major influence in global economics and serves
as the steward of the United States’ monetary and financial
systems, and directly advises the president of the United
States in these areas.

 One departmental office is the Office of Economic
Policy.
Tasked with studying and reporting on economic
developments across the world to inform future policy
making, the Office of Economic Policy has three
deputy secretaries that each focus on a different
specialty. These include macroeconomics,
microeconomics, and policy coordination. The office
reports directly to the Secretary of the Treasury and
accounts for a substantial portion of the department’s
annual budget. Formally founded on June 23, 1969,
the Office of Economic Policy’s work has ranged from
pension reform proposals to terror risk insurance.
